The rooms have obviously been renovated. They are nice looking as you walk in, but when you start looking closely at things you notice the age. And when we woke up the next morning the electricity to the breakfast room was off due to electrical difficulties. So the only choices we had to eat were cereal or fruit. Even the juice dispenser wasn't working. And there were no offers to give a discount. Pool was adequate. But again, it did show its age. There was some sound from the pipes that woke me early and I couldn't get back to sleep.
This hotel was clean, very comfortable and included a hot breakfast. The rooms have fridges, microwaves, and coffee machines in addition to the usual amenities. The CP Railway train does run very close but it didn't wake us up (it was noticeable during the day though). For the location it was well priced and very easy to find. I would say there again if I ever needed to return to Salmon Arm.
Overall a pleasant stay. Room was clean and properly equipped. Everything worked. Beds were old fashioned spring coil type. Not uncomfortable. Staff very professional with preemptive offers for solving any problems. Batteries in the TV remote needed replacing. This was done immediately upon request. Breakfast options very limited. Powdered eggs and precooked, microwaved sausages. No bagels. Very little whole grain offerings. Very nice presentation with items well attended. I stay at Best Western properties almost exclusively. This one fulfills my expectations if not a little lower on the scale from others in the chain. I recommend this property. Great value for price paid.
This motel was exactly what we needed for a quick one night stay. Comfortable, clean, staff were professional . . . we didnt have the breakfast but heard it was good.We will stay here again :)
Nice, well-maintained, comfortable and clean. Staff were professional and helpful. It's also tucked back off the highway so nice and quiet. Would stay again!
